Seeing the community has died out and developer has moved on, is there any change of ever seeing another version of Spice Trade?

Petrell,
There are few things. I as a user and a gamer have moved on to gcj and openjdk . Unless and until the developer makes work to port the games to both or these two programs I wouldn't want to play it. Its just both of these platforms are free software so makes sense for me.

Other than that I really enjoyed that game apart from that annonying music.

Why should the devs port it to other platform they probably don't even use? Usually it's the other platform users/devs respossibility to do the porting. If you are interested in getting Spice Trade to use and compile on gcj and openjdk, then why don't you do the port your self? You could get rid or replace the anoying music in the process! Wink

But anyway, seeing there hasn't been any activity past 2 years or more there's little change of any more development. Crying or Very sad

RIP Spice Trade. Holds whole 10 seconds of silence for all the hours spend playing the game.
